Survivors

In the face of profound adversity and suffering, individuals can show remarkable resilience, resourcefulness, and courage. This project highlights the inspiring stories and justice journeys of survivors of international crimes to shed light on the various opportunities for redress that exist in Canada and internationally.

The following individuals are CCIJ clients who have decided to share their stories with the public to amplify the impact of their efforts and to create a public record of the injustices they have survived. They are leading the way and carving a path for others to access justice under international law. We hope that their stories will inspire and encourage other survivors of international crimes who wish to seek redress for the harm they have suffered.

The Canadian Centre for International Justice (CCIJ) provides direct client support to survivors of atrocity crimes and their families by providing legal information on options available for pursuing justice. Visit our website to find out about our public cases and clients.
